July General Meeting

July General Meeting

The club’s next General Meeting is at the Redlands Coast Museum on Monday 6th July, Arrival: 7:00 PM, Meeting Start: 7:30 PM.

Location: Redlands Museum (please use the side entrance near the carpark). All members and visitors are warmly invited to come along.

Come along and get involved! We’ll be presenting a look back at our recent successes and discussing our upcoming plans for the Club, the Museum, and Mt Cotton. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about the incredible involvement of our members – both as volunteers and as active users of the club’s facilities.

There will also be a call for volunteers for our upcoming Bunnings Capalaba Fundraising BBQ on Sunday, 12 July:

Bunnings generously provides community organisations like ours with the vital opportunity to raise much-needed funds, helping us continue to maintain services such as the Mt Cotton repeater site and operate our clubhouse. Every dollar raised directly benefits our club and its members.

Those who have volunteered at previous BBQs often say they enjoy the experience and appreciate the opportunity to give something back to the club. If you’ve helped before, we’d love to have you back. If you’ve never had the chance to lend a hand, this is a great opportunity to contribute and share the workload. The success of these fundraising events depends on members stepping forward, and we’d especially welcome some new faces this time around.

Even a few hours of your time can make a real difference. We hope you’ll consider supporting the club by volunteering – please contact the Committee ASAP.

The highlight of the evening will be an update on the club’s extensive online facilities – and how to easily make use of them. Vice President John VK4JBE will be presenting another “Did-You-Know” on setting up your Laptops, Android Tablets and Mobiles to have one-click access to the BDARS discussion Forum; Bring them along!

As always, a ‘Show and Tell’ session is open if you wish to being bring your current projects to the meeting to share with the group. Even if you don’t bring along a project, why not bring perhaps a little something savoury or sweet to enjoy with a tea or coffee?!

It’s a great opportunity to catch up on club news, meet fellow members, and enjoy some gold coin coffee and a good chinwag afterwards. We look forward to seeing you there!
