Thanks to all the members who came down to the clubhouse today and joined in on the fun and activities:-
One of the aims of today was to clean up the outside of the building paintwork which had suffered from the hot damp weather, and was exhibiting quite a bit of unwelcome green stuff!

Martin kindly brought along his Gurney and accessories. Martin, John-Paul and Bob set to work while the sun was beating down. It was pretty hot, however we were treated to a refreshing downpour just as we were finishing up! But, it was all part of the fun as we were already a bit damp from the jetting.

The entire process seemed to go quickly, maybe 50 minutes or so, and we were very pleased with the result. It wasn’t such a hard job after-all.
Now, our clubhouse, once again, looks like someone cares for it !

Apart from the excitement we had cleaning the building, working away inside was David VK4ZF and Eddie VK4TJE building another bench power-supply for use by the club in our up-and-coming electronics workshop.

Overall the morning was another great success; we also welcomed a surprise drop in guest, George VK4GNG. There was lots of time to have a social chat around the boardroom table (aka coffee table!).
In this comfortable corner of the room, George was telling us about his travels and more future plans, and we gladly brought him up-to-date on our BDARS activities. Sitting around the table the topics of discussion then moved on to tackling the world’s problems; including those thorny issues we usually keep off the airwaves!
We all enjoyed everyone’s company and it felt like we were kindling a new kind of enjoyable camaraderie not often seen at our normal meetings – a truly special and worthwhile Saturday morning!
