Project work at the clubhouse

busy members doing electronics at the clubhouse

Saturday mornings are becoming a bit of a regular thing at the Victoria Point clubhouse.

Today, it got busy! Members were undertaking several different projects at the same time. These included adding facilities for the test instrument bench, VNA experimentation and calibration, Lightning detector commissioning and assembling a power-supply kit.

In between the activities we still had time for tea and coffee and a good chat to catch up with each other’s home based amateur radio and social activities. We even raised some club funds through the valued contributions toward the provided refreshments.

Fortunately the weather was mild, so it was a nice comfortable hangout for all of us. We even had one visiting youngster (and his dad Tristan). Our young aspiring amateur was very interested in learning all about Nitto tape – an essential prerequisite for the hobby!).
