Thanks to all the members who came down to the clubhouse today, and in particular, Martin VK4MCU who instigated and organised the special Saturday morning breakfast BBQ of bacon and eggs for our members and guests.
We were all thrilled when our club President, Geoff (VK4GNT), heroically seized the tongs and spatula, transforming into our very own master chef.
With the finesse of a seasoned grill maestro, Geoff whipped up a delicious breakfast for everyone —proving once and for all that his talents extend far beyond club management and into the sizzling realm of bacon and eggs!
On the serious side of things, some members were a little undecided as to which sauce was the best for their breakfast meal!
Despite a few late arrivals, Martin had planned supplies perfectly, ensuring everyone enjoyed not just the enticing aroma of sizzling bacon but also a hearty bacon and egg roll, complemented by freshly brewed capsule coffee from our own machine.
Starting the day with a hearty breakfast, followed by some hands-on tinkering with the bench electronics, was the perfect way to spend a few enjoyable hours. With good company, plenty of chatter, and the satisfying hum of soldering irons and test equipment, it was a morning well spent—fueling both our stomachs and our passion for all things radio and electronic!
The event was such a success that not only did our President take it upon himself to wash up every last dish, but we also decided to make the clubhouse breakfast BBQ a monthly tradition!
