The society’s Annual General Meeting will be held at the Redland Museum on Monday 2nd March 2026, with a 7:00PM arrival for a 7:30PM start. All members and visitors are invited and will be welcomed.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a yearly gathering of members at which the entire current society management committee steps down and a new management team is appointed. A vote is held when there are multiple candidates for a particular position; where no candidate has been nominated in advance, members may nominate individuals during the meeting itself. Voting rights are reserved exclusively for current, fully paid-up members.
Following the appointments, the newly elected President addresses the members in attendance.
Leadership within our club is both a privilege and a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Our members value strong, forward-thinking guidance, and our leaders play a vital role in shaping the club’s direction and success. By contributing their time, insight and professional experience — alongside the wisdom gained from life itself — they help drive new initiatives, strengthen our community, and confidently steer the club towards a vibrant and successful future.

Retiring President’s Message
I would like to thank the retiring committee and the SIG support teams,
BDARS offers one of the best Amateur Radio repeater services / remote radios in SEQ, with most modes supported and at least one net available every day except Sundays.
I sincerely appreciate everyone who has renewed their membership, submitted committee nominations, and expressed an interest in helping to lead and manage BDARS into the future.
