Our next Tech/Social meeting is at the Redlands Coast Museum on Monday 19th October, 7:00PM for 7:30PM start. Members and visitors (non members) are always welcomed.
Martin has some exciting news to share about a new multimode reflector that he will be sponsoring for BDARS and Amateur Radio, which is WIP http://vk4mcureflector.ddns.net:4000/
We will have just completed a three radio station setup for the JOTA Activities from the weekend so we also plan to have a de-briefing session. This will include:-
A description of the locations, the setup, what antennas were used and how did we get them up, power sources, what radios and what bands. What did the Scouts like best, what did the Girl Guides like best, how did they go using the radio, what contacts were made, did they talk to other JOTA groups. How well did the DATV trial go?
Finally what was the overall impression, what could we do better next year, what extra preparation could we do.

President Martin VK4MCU, may also continue his update bringing everyone up-to-speed on our other repeaters and digital systems available through BDARS.
As always, on the agenda is a quick update on recent club activities, time for a coffee and a chat with your colleagues, and of course any ‘show-and-tells’ that you bring along to introduce to the group – your latest technology acquisitions or home brew projects to amaze the other members!. If you bring some eats to share that would make the meeting even more special!
Whether you join us in person or tune in via the live stream, you’re sure to come away informed and inspired.
Technight/Social meetings are always a good catch-up opportunity to:-
- Enlist help for anything you need from the other members.
- Confirm shared arrangements for the upcoming contests, hamfests and meetings.
