Licensed & Ready Training

Licensed & Ready Training

Licensed & Ready is a personalized amateur radio license mentoring program
The first session is this Thursday afternoon at the clubhouse.

Amateur Radio is far more than a pastime — it’s a pursuit that challenges the mind, sparks curiosity, and connects people through shared technical exploration. At BDARS, we have a long-standing commitment to supporting learners in achieving their goals across all facets of the hobby — from radio communication and electronics to experimentation and innovation.

We recognise that everyone learns differently. Some thrive in a structured classroom setting, others prefer the flexibility of distance learning, while many learn best by rolling up their sleeves and diving into hands-on experience. With this in mind, we’re launching a series of training and mentoring sessions designed to be flexible, personalised, and focused on supporting you own individual learning style.

While we’ll certainly delve into the fascinating worlds of electronics, radio theory, and practical operation, our overarching theme is empowerment — helping participants gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to attain or upgrade their Amateur Radio Operator’s Licence.

Whether you’re just beginning your journey into Amateur Radio or aiming to upgrade your licence, this initiative is about bringing everyone together for regular meet-ups and mentoring sessions, you’ll find the motivation, structure, and sense of community that help keep your learning momentum alive. With the support of our experienced mentors and fellow enthusiasts, you’ll have the guidance and encouragement needed to stay on track and reach the next stage of your Amateur Radio journey.
