Membership Information

Membership of the Society is open to all those with an interest in communication via radio, both male and female, utilising the many and varied means of communication including voice, digital and video systems. Frequencies range from those of the traditional High Frequency Bands (HF) to the Very High (VHF) and Ultra High Frequencies (UHF) , plus the most recent in the Giga Hertz range(SHF).

Membership is available for those living locally, interstate or overseas. Unlicensed associate and family members are eligible to join the Society at a reduced fee. Students are especially welcome.

A licence is required before you can be allocated a call sign by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). You can then operate on the Amateur Radio Frequencies.
